Senior IT Business Analyst on a major digital transformation, leading requirements elicitation, real-time/near-real-time integration design, and business case development across enterprise COTS application environments, while mentoring junior analysts.
Salary: $140 - $150 p.h.
Are you an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst looking to make a high-value impact on a major digital transformation program? We are seeking a proactive strategic thinker to partner with executive stakeholders, elicit complex requirements, and drive solution design across large-scale enterprise environments. Based in Brisbane, this role offers the chance to lead business case development, mentor junior analysts, and optimise core business applications.
What You Will Do:
Lead complex requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation efforts across teams, with a focus on COTS application environments.
Define and specify real-time and near-real-time integration requirements between core and satellite applications to enable process automation.
Develop and lead robust business cases, including comprehensive cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and strategic value articulation.
Facilitate high-impact workshops and partner with Product Owners, technical teams, and executive leadership to align expectations.
Mentor and coach junior Business Analysts while contributing to the continuous improvement of BA methodologies and governance frameworks.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-scale initiatives involving COTS applications.
3+ years of experience defining integration requirements for real-time or near-real-time data exchange between core and satellite systems.
Extensive experience (5+ years) developing complex business cases, financial modelling, and risk analysis.
Demonstrated experience communicating with and influencing stakeholders up to executive level, alongside a background in mentoring junior staff.
Exposure to PLM, ERP, MRP, or MRO systems, with experience in Aerospace, Defence, Manufacturing, or similar regulated industries being highly advantageous.
