IT Support Engineer Apprentice
Support colleagues with hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues; set up laptops and user accounts; maintain workplace technology; assist with cloud-based tools, onboarding, device management, updates, routine maintenance, tickets, equipment records, and technical guides; and explore AI, scripting, and automation while completing a Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification.
Responsibilities
- Help colleagues resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues.
- Set up and support laptops, user accounts, and workplace technology.
- Assist with cloud-based tools and software.
- Support employee onboarding, device management, software updates, and routine maintenance.
- Keep support tickets, equipment records, and technical guides accurate and up to date.
- Explore AI, scripting, and automation to improve everyday IT support.
Requirements
- A-Levels or an equivalent qualification.
- Interest in technology and how things work.
- Basic familiarity with computers and everyday software.
- Attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Clear communication skills.
- Confidence working with different people.
- Reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
- Confidence to ask questions and take feedback.
- Experience with macOS, scripting, home technology projects, computer troubleshooting, or AI tools is helpful but not essential.
