IT Support Engineer
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
About Us
Lagom Technology runs managed IT the way it should be run: one number to call, one person who actually knows your setup, one invoice that makes sense. No ticket queues you disappear into, no upsell disguised as advice. Just IT that works, and people who tell you straight when it doesn't.
We're based out of an office in Salisbury North, with free EV charging on site. Our vehicles all charge from the sun for free.
We lean heavily on AI tooling in the background to cut out the boring, repetitive parts of the job. What clients get is always a human. We visit customers on site where we can, because relationships get built face to face, not through a ticket queue.
We hate doing things manually, so we automate our own job wherever we can. If that sounds like your instinct too, you'll fit in.
The role
If you've ever pulled something apart just to understand how it's put together, warranty be damned (you are the warranty now), you'll get on fine here. We're not after someone to churn through tickets. We want an engineer who owns problems until they're actually fixed, explains things in plain English, and treats the client's business like it matters, because it does.
You'll be the main point of contact for a set of clients, remote and on-site, troubleshooting real problems and keeping their environments running properly.
What you'll do
Be the direct, trusted contact for clients, remote and on-site
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues across Windows and macOS
Manage Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure and other cloud platforms
Configure and maintain routers, firewalls, VLANs, DNS and DHCP
Support VOIP (3CX)
Build and manage workstations, mobile devices and SIM services
Contribute to cyber security, backups, storage and IT strategy for clients
Log work properly and keep clients in the loop
Spot ways to improve a client setup and actually suggest them
What you'll bring
Previous MSP experience with real hands-on troubleshooting
Solid networking fundamentals: VLANs, routers, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, domains
Strong Microsoft and Apple platform knowledge, including Azure and M365
Comfortable in a PSA/client management tool
Communication that's clear and to the point, written and verbal
Good time management and the ability to work without someone standing over you
Bonus if you've considered moving to Linux yourself. A lot of us have, and it tells us something about how you think
How to apply
Send a one-page cover letter and a resume (max two pages) to [email protected]. Show us you can communicate. It's most of the job.
No closing date. We'd rather wait for the right person than rush a hire.
