Java Developer / Production Support (12 months Contract)

Role: Java Developer / Production Support
Job Location: (Changi Business Park), Singapore
Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production support for core banking applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and escalation.
• Analyze application issues using Java/J2EE, Unix/Linux commands, SQL queries, and application logs.
• Monitor systems using Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Grafana, and ensure timely response to production alerts.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, development, security, vendors, and other teams to resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Support applicationreleases, deployments, maintenance activities, post-release validation, andproduction health checks.
• Perform root-cause analysis, maintain support documentation, and continuously improve production support processes and service quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Must have 4+ years of IT background and hands on experiences with Java and Spring Frameworks.
• Experience supporting banking or financial services applications is preferred.
• Good understanding of Core Banking applications and banking operations.
• Hands-on experience with SQL queries and Unix/Linux commands.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and incident management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong sense of ownership.
