Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Systems) to join our team in delivering high-performance enterprise applications that support an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system. You will be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to development, testing, deployment, and application support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance enterprise software applications for AFC systems in collaboration with users and development teams
- Maintain and support existing software applications to ensure reliability and performance in production environments
- Prepare and update comprehensive technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance
- Implement software solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and web application technologies to meet business requirements
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and manage database design and performance tuning for efficient data handling
- Apply Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment processes
- Utilize microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS ECS Fargate, RDS, Lambda) to enhance software scalability and resilience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate message queue technologies such as Solace for reliable communication between system components
- Analyze and resolve technical issues by applying strong problem-solving skills to maintain system stability and performance
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment on project goals
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems, EMV standards, or PCI DSS compliance frameworks
- Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating environments

- Employment type: Contract - 24 months (renewable)
- Location: East Region, Singapore
- Working Hours: 8:30AM to 6:00PM (Mon-Fri)
- Salary: $7000 - 9000 per month (no bonus)
- Working Arrangement: Full Onsite
