Jr. Technical Business Analyst, Internal Applications

Junior business analyst on a Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) team who applies systems analysis techniques, gathers and documents requirements, translates business needs into functional specs and user stories, performs user acceptance testing, and acts as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams for internal technology solutions.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Jr. Technical Business Analyst to join the Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) team. In this role, you will apply systems analysis techniques to technology and business initiatives by analyzing processes and system functionality, gathering and documenting requirements, determining functional specifications, testing computer systems and applications, and helping ensure internal technology solutions meet user and system needs.

What You’ll Do
- Business and systems analysis and requirements: Apply systems analysis techniques to evaluate business processes, application functionality, and system requirements; consult with stakeholders and users to determine technology needs; and translate business and user needs into software and system functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Testing and validation: Analyze and test computer systems, applications, and system modifications against user and system design specifications; develop and test acceptance criteria; perform user acceptance testing (UAT); document results; identify defects or functional gaps; validate resolutions; and ensure delivered solutions meet documented functional and system requirements.
- Communication and alignment: Conduct and participate in meetings and presentations, communicate requirements, findings, updates, and proposed solutions, and serve as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and technical teams.
- Project support and coordination: Support project planning, help define activities, track progress, monitor deliverables, support prioritization, and communicate issues, risks, dependencies, and potential impacts.
- Documentation and collaboration: Create and maintain clear documentation, including requirements, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, data mapping, test results, and user guides while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous improvement: Stay current on process improvements, industry trends, and IT advancements that can help automate, improve, and modernize systems and business processes.
- Additional support: Perform other projects and tasks as assigned.
