Junior Systems Administrator

Entry-level Junior Systems Administrator supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Windows/Linux endpoints and DataMC's proprietary Python/Flask DM REVOLVE data-migration toolset, including automation with PowerShell, Bash and Python.
About the role
You will join DataMC's Infrastructure and IT Operations team as a Junior Systems Administrator. This is an entry-level development opportunity where you will receive practical training while learning DataMC's systems, processes and technology environment from the ground up. You will work with the Infrastructure Manager and wider technical team in a varied and challenging environment where no two days are the same and systems and processes continue to evolve.
Key responsibilities
Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Azure
Prepare and manage Windows and Linux devices
Create and maintain user accounts, permissions and security groups
Support employee onboarding and offboarding across multiple countries
Troubleshoot device, software, access and connectivity issues
Assist with system monitoring, backups, updates and patching
Investigate networking and cloud-service issues
Write and maintain clear technical documentation
Use PowerShell, Bash and Python for administration and automation
Follow security policies, change-control requirements and approved workflows
DM REVOLVE and technical application support
You will receive training in DM REVOLVE, DataMC's proprietary Python and Flask-based data migration toolset. As your knowledge develops, you will assist with supporting internal users and clients who use DM REVOLVE, learning the fundamentals of ETL and data migration processes, investigating SQL and data-processing issues, reviewing Python errors and application logs, reproducing reported issues in a controlled environment, identifying whether issues relate to data, configuration, connectivity, user operation or application behaviour, recording clear replication steps with expected and actual results, creating well-documented work items for issues requiring investigation by software developers, following issues through to resolution and communicating outcomes to affected users, and contributing to support documentation and troubleshooting guides.

Awareness of cloud-computing concepts
Familiarity with Microsoft 365
Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python or another scripting language
Basic knowledge of SQL or relational databases
Interest in data migration, ETL or application support
Entry-level certifications such as AZ-900, SC-900 or MS-900
