Location\: Glasgow, Scotstoun – (minimum 1 day per week onsite)
Grade\: GG10

Role Description\:
The Lead Project Controller (Data Analytics) supports programme delivery through the application of project controls expertise, advanced analytics, reporting, and performance insight. Acting as a subject matter expert, the role drives data-led decision-making, ensuring the effective application of project controls standards, governance, and performance management practices. Working closely with PM&C leadership, project teams, and senior stakeholders, the individual provides guidance, assurance, and challenge to improve performance and accountability. The role also leads the development of analytics capabilities, reporting frameworks, and management information, enhancing transparency, predictability, and informed decision-making across the portfolio
Core Duties\:
- Lead the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of complex reporting solutions across the portfolio
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for project controls analytics, providing specialist advice and guidance to programme teams, programme leadership and senior stakeholders
- Collaboration across programme boundaries to develop alignment in reporting solutions
- Analyse complex project controls data from multiple sources, presenting this data to provide actionable insights to the programme
- Define and implement reporting standards, dashboard design principles and data governance practices to ensure data presented aligns with established data quality tenets
- Drive continuous improvement through the automation, innovation and the adoption of new analytics techniques and technology
- Coach and mentor self-service users, promoting knowledge sharing and increasing data literacy across the NS project controls community
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influences reporting approaches and ensure reporting solutions continue to meet evolving business requirements
Essential Skills\:
- You'll have substantial practical experience in Data Analytics within a Project Controls environment
- You'll have significant experience using BI reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI and Alteryx
- You'll have a sound understanding of project controls processes, business structures and tools (e.g. Primavera P6) to effectively support Project Controls implementation

The NS-D&A Team is a small, dynamic group dedicated to delivering data-driven insights, primarily through the Tableau platform. This fast-paced role is pivotal in supporting programme delivery and navigating the complexities of the build process. D&A outputs are crucial for enabling informed decision-making across various functions, and the role requires intellectual agility to critically challenge assumptions and develop alternative, innovative solutions.
