Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a premium global retailer in the EU region. This role combines technical leadership, client communication, and hands-on development in a fast-paced, Agile SAFe environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a development team of 5 engineers
- Serve as the primary client-facing lead for Marketing Cloud development updates
- Participate in hands-on development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
- Align with the Business Analyst Lead on user story refinements and the Test Lead on test-related topics
- Drive platform technical maturity, including DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and RCA for production issues
- Contribute to innovation projects such as onboarding new countries onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud and implementing new platform features
- Support sprint planning and quarterly SAFe program increment planning activities
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- 1+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role within a development team
- Strong hands-on experience with AMPscript
- Practical experience with Integration Frameworks and Integration Platforms
- Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud
- Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Salesforce environments
- Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement incremental improvements
- Experience with user story refinement, backlog grooming, and coordination with testing teams
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies, ideally in a SAFe framework environment
- English level B2+
