Lead Software Engineer Java

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems for financial products, including card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity. The role uses Java 25, Postgres, and Spring Boot with clean code, TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Focus on greenfield development and improve existing systems
• Build REST APIs
• Engineer microservices
• Evolve systems supporting card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity
• Develop business logic using clean code, TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery

Requirements

• Demonstrable backend development experience
• Fluency in Java
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another Engineering or Science discipline
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• A track record of building complex products used by millions of people in hypergrowth startups
