Legal Counsel

Implement KAIO’s legal and compliance strategy under senior leadership, focusing on regulatory execution across jurisdictions and tokenized fund and investment products for an institutional RWA platform in Web3.

Responsibilities

• Support legal and compliance strategy implementation.
• Support regulatory licensing applications, filings, and entity administration.
• Maintain legal records, contracts, and risk registers.
• Assist with regulatory and compliance matters across jurisdictions.
• Act as compliance officer for regulated entities.
• Support compliant tokenized product launches with Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and service-provider arrangements.
• Maintain standard terms, privacy notices, and disclaimers.
• Support corporate governance, board resolutions, and corporate secretarial activities.
• Assist with employment documentation.
• Review and manage intellectual property matters under supervision.
• Maintain legal templates, playbooks, and internal processes.
• Support GDPR and data-protection compliance.
• Assist with privacy documentation and internal policies.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience in financial regulation, including AIFMD or MiFID, and cross-border licensing.
• Exposure to fund structures and investment product design.
• Good understanding of corporate law.
• Preferred experience in private practice and in-house roles.
• Exposure to fintech, Web3, digital assets, and tokenization preferred.
• Regulatory or data-privacy experience advantageous.
• London, UK location preferred.
• Strong communication, writing, attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
