Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate Banking)

Provide legal advice to Corporate Banking segments and businesses and over Corporate Banking products and services, such as custody, lending, cash and trade products and services;
Provide legal support in projects from a Corporate Banking perspective such as fintech/digital banking projects and industry-wise or regulatory initiatives;
Develop house templates and draft/review internal policies and procedures;
Draft/review/negotiate contracts, agreements and T&Cs;
Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments and advise on legal and regulatory issues; and
Liaise and work with external legal counsel to provide legal advisory services.

Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with 8 years’ of PQE or more, but suitable candidates qualified in other common law jurisdiction or with less experience may also be considered.
Banking/finance experience from a reputable law firm or legal and compliance department of banking / financial institutions, preferably with custody and trust experience.
Good team player with first-rate analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and proactive.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluent in Mandarin is an advantage.
