Licence Application & Compliance Project Manager

Manage and secure regulatory licence application projects across multiple jurisdictions, lead regulatory examinations and audits, monitor licence expirations and reporting deadlines, improve compliance processes, manage KYC updates, and support business, technical, and compliance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and secure licence acquisition processes across jurisdictions.
• Review application statuses for completeness and accuracy.
• Lead regulatory examinations and licence audits.
• Monitor licence expirations and regulatory reporting deadlines.
• Develop process improvements to ensure product compliance.
• Handle compliance queries from business and support functions.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and escalate control deficiencies.
• Liaise with technical teams on regulatory and compliance changes.
• Manage and update KYC processes in line with application status.
• Support teams across departments on varied compliance tasks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of global compliance experience across multiple jurisdictions in financial services or cryptocurrency industries.
• 7+ years of project management experience with excellent organisational skills.
• Legal qualification desirable but not essential; strong legal reasoning required.
• Working knowledge of AML, sanctions, consumer risks, and compliance frameworks for crypto assets and products.
• Excellent judgment and analytical ability to research complex multi-jurisdictional laws and make sound recommendations.
• Strong understanding of AML and sanctions programmes and applicable legislation.
• Good understanding of global securities law and regulatory licensing legislation.
• Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work independently in a remote team environment.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Must work securely using an Apple Mac device.
