Machinery Manager
Job Summary:
The Machinery Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, deployment, and performance of the Company's heavy machinery and construction equipment. The role ensures machinery is safe, reliable, cost-effective, and available to support project operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the deployment and utilization of heavy machinery across all project sites.
Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
Supervise workshop operations, including mechanics and equipment coordinators.
Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs to maximize operational efficiency.
Manage spare parts inventory and maintain accurate equipment records.
Ensure compliance with MOM, WSH, and Company safety policies and regulations.
Coordinate the procurement, rental, replacement, and disposal of machinery.
Prepare and manage machinery budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Support project teams by ensuring timely availability of equipment.
Drive continuous improvement in fleet management, workshop operations, and equipment reliability.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in ERSS, foundation, or civil construction projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, fleet management, workshop operations, and preventive maintenance planning.
Good understanding of MOM and WSH regulations and safety requirements.
Proven ability to manage budgets, control maintenance costs, and optimize equipment utilization.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
