Job Summary

Lead and manage chemical trading operations, develop strategic business plans, and expand supply sources and customer networks across Asia while fostering team growth and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Execute global trading activities for fertilizers and raw materials to achieve business objectives
• Negotiate with international customers and suppliers to secure favourable terms and partnerships
• Identify and develop new supply sources and customer accounts to expand market presence
• Plan and implement business strategies for agricultural chemicals across Asian markets to drive growth
• Develop functional chemical products tailored to the Singapore market to enhance product offerings
• Manage two chemical departments by setting strategic goals, monitoring performance, and achieving sales targets
• Communicate clearly and persuasively with management, staff, clients, and vendors in written and verbal formats
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with management, colleagues, and local and overseas partners
• Analyze and manage financial coefficients to enable accurate reporting of financial results to management and headquarters
• Foster a multicultural work environment by demonstrating openness, sensitivity, and adaptability
• Coach and lead team members to enhance their knowledge, skills, and overall performance

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 5 years of global trading experience in the basic chemicals field with strong connections to Asian customers
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N1) to facilitate communication with headquarters in Japan and Japanese customers
