Job Summary
The Manager is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and maintaining compliance with company and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities to ensure efficient team performance and adherence to schedules
- Plan and assign cleaning duties to staff to optimize resource use and meet operational goals
- Inspect completed cleaning work to verify compliance with quality and hygiene standards
- Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, and workplace safety to ensure consistent performance and reduce risks
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance to maintain workforce reliability and productivity
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals to prolong asset life and ensure safety
- Maintain and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, arranging timely replenishment to avoid shortages
- Respond promptly to client requests, feedback, and complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to track performance and inform management decisions
- Assist with cleaning duties during peak periods or staff shortages to support team effectiveness
Required competencies and certifications
- Previous experience in the cleaning industry, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate the cleaning team
- Ability to manage a team and work under pressure to meet operational demands
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Physical fitness to perform operational cleaning duties when required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet business needs
