Manager, Client Payments
United Talent Agency is seeking an experienced Manager, Client Payments to lead the end-to-end client payments function across the UK business. The role oversees client inflows and outflows, account reconciliations, artist statements, payment controls, regulatory compliance, operational metrics, system migrations, and stakeholder service while managing and developing the Client Payments team.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Client Payments team.
- Resolve complex payment and client account matters as an escalation point.
- Establish performance metrics and drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve artist statements and payments.
- Monitor client account balances against show settlements in NetSuite and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee FEU compliance and quarterly submission readiness.
- Build relationships with Agents, Managers, Buyers, and external Accountants.
- Own the end-to-end client payments process across UK-serviced departments.
- Coordinate with internal teams and global Finance teams on payment matters.
- Lead payments workstreams during system migrations and operational changes.
- Support onboarding of new departments into the UK servicing model.
- Monitor payment turnaround times, outstanding items, and unreconciled balances.
- Report performance, risks, and escalations to senior management.
- Ensure payment activity is documented, compliant, and audit-ready.
- Drive workflow improvements and deliver professional stakeholder service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in client accounting, payments, or finance operations.
- Strong understanding of payment processes, banking platforms, and financial controls.
- Experience managing or supervising a team.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and prioritisation skills.
- Confident communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system preferred.
