Manager, Financial SystemsThe Manager, Financial Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration, optimization, and ongoing support of the company's financial systems environment, with primary ownership of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and BlackLine platforms. This role serves as the key liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT, and external partners to drive financial process transformation, system enhancements, automation initiatives, and governance across the Record-to-Report and Financial Planning processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and finance knowledge with technical expertise in Oracle EPM and BlackLine to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, enhance reporting capabilities, and support the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Leadership
Serve as the business owner and subject matter expert for Oracle EPM and BlackLine applications.
Develop and execute the financial systems roadmap aligned with business and finance transformation objectives.
Lead system governance, enhancement prioritization, release management, and platform optimization efforts.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, IT, Tax and external vendors.
Provide training, support, and knowledge-sharing across Finance and Accounting teams.
Lead financial systems implementations, upgrades, acquisitions integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure financial systems comply with SOX and internal control requirements.
Maintain proper access controls, segregation of duties, and system documentation.
Support internal and external audit requests and remediation activities.
Establish monitoring and reporting processes to ensure platform reliability and control effectiveness.
Oracle EPM Administration & Development
Manage and support Oracle EPM applications, including:
Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
Planning and Budgeting
Oversee metadata management, security administration, business rules, calculations, workflows, and data integrations.
Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and ensure system availability during critical reporting periods.
Lead testing and implementation of Oracle EPM updates and new functionality.
Provide ongoing support and training for users across the organization
BlackLine Administration & Process Optimization
Manage BlackLine platform configuration and administration, including:
Account Reconciliations
Task Management
Journal Entry Management
Partner with Accounting teams to standardize and automate reconciliation and close processes.
Drive user adoption and process compliance across the organization.
Monitor reconciliation performance metrics and continuously improve close efficiency.
Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve control effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of progressive experience in financial systems, finance transformation, accounting systems, or related roles.
3+ years of experience administering Oracle EPM applications.
3+ years of experience supporting and configuring BlackLine solutions.
3+ years of hands on SmartView reporting experience
Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and account reconciliation processes.
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle EBS, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and system implementations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred
CPA, CMA, PMP, or related certification.
Experience with Oracle FCCS, EPBCS/PBCS, EDM, and Narrative Reporting.
Experience with Oracle Data Integration, EPM Automate, Smart View, and REST APIs.
Experience with JDE Enterprise One
Understanding of SOX compliance and financial controls.
Experience in a publicly traded company environment.
