About the role
The Manager of Guest Programming, FS Yachts is a creative, experienced, connected and resourceful entertainment leader who will exemplify Four Seasons Luxury and will be responsible for the overall success of the Four Seasons Yacht’s Recreation and Activities program
The Manager of Guest Programming is focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
What you will do
- Create programs and lead a team that delivers unique and exceptional quality entertainment experiences across all onboard venues, including the Horizon Lounge, Pool, Marina, Theatre, and Salon.
- Create and execute an entertainment plan that provides a varied guest experience, appeals to the onboard demographic, highlights destinations, and conveys a Four Seasons level experience.
- Support the onboard Entertainment & Recreation team in partnership with the P&C Director and Entertainment Consultant.
- Supervise the hiring and contracting of guest entertainers, wellness speakers, guest speakers, piano entertainers, guitar players, resident lounge entertainers, local performers, and DJs.
- Oversee the production and execution of themed parties, special events, and other creative entertainment experiences.
- Manage the onboard interactive television system, including content delivery and coordination of safety-related video creation and distribution.
- Oversee the operation of entertainment technical systems, background music systems, and ambient music programming across all public areas.
- Collaborate with the Entertainment Consultant to develop entertainment concepts for new builds and enhance the guest entertainment experience.
- Manage the procurement of entertainment-related supplies and maintain the Annual Entertainment Cabin Request process.
- Work closely with Charter, Incentive, and Group Sales teams to coordinate tailored programming for charter groups, themed sailings, and special events.
- Foster a service culture that emphasizes personalized attention, guest recognition, and Four Seasons standards of luxury hospitality.
- Monitor guest feedback, implement continuous improvements, and lead effective guest issue resolution to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all entertainment and recreation programming is age-appropriate, health-conscious, and delivered in compliance with maritime safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and SOLAS regulations.
- Support onboard operations as needed, including providing leadership to Entertainment & Recreation teams and serving in an onboard entertainment leadership capacity during critical operational periods.
What you bring
- Effective relationship management skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships with the Yacht ownership team, third-party partners, and key Four Seasons stakeholders, working as "one team."
- A passion for championing excellence through the creation and delivery of onboard guest programming that surprises and delights, with a focus on individualized, destination-relevant, and unique experiences.
- Strong planning, organizing, and team-building capabilities, including developing programs, preparing budget forecasts, building successful teams, and driving performance excellence.
- An excellent communicator and change agent who values diverse perspectives, communicates clearly and concisely, and effectively influences stakeholders to achieve improvement and change.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in a global, multicultural environment.
- Subject matter expertise in delivering unique luxury experiences to a high-end clientele, with significant experience in the luxury cruise, yachting, or hospitality industry.
- A Hospitality Management or Arts degree preferred, with a minimum of five years' experience in luxury leadership roles and a demonstrated record of accomplishment in leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence.
- Fully versed in hospitality operational systems and technology; corporate experience is a plus.
