Baptist Health is hiring a Manager, Payroll to join the team at the Downtown Campus in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity.
The Manager, Payroll oversees the daily operations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role provides leadership to the payroll team, coordinates payroll-related initiatives, and collaborates with departments across the organization to support payroll operations and system enhancements.
Manager, Payroll Job Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing of the payroll office to ensure full coverage while minimizing overtime hours
- Audit payroll processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage requests for payroll-related information
- Coordinate payroll system enhancements and process efficiencies
- Collaborate with other departments to support successful biweekly and on-demand payroll processing
- Review payroll transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Process all payroll tax returns in a timely manner
- Lead payroll operations and support continuous process improvement initiatives
- Ensure excellent customer service and support for payroll-related inquiries
Manager, Payroll Experience:
- 5 years of Payroll Experience (required)
- 5 years of Leadership Experience (required)
Manager, Payroll Education & Credential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) (required)
- Master's Degree (preferred)
