Manager, Revenue Accounting
This role manages revenue accounting during monthly close, analyzes contracts across departments, drives process improvements, supports auditors and cross-functional partners, and helps implement a bookings and revenue-recognition platform. The role is based in the Beverly Hills, California office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly revenue close process and ensure revenue recognition complies with U.S. GAAP
- Serve as a key contact for external financial statement auditors on revenue matters
- Partner with Technical Accounting, Client Accounting, and Finance to refine revenue policies and operations
- Lead preparation and review of revenue and accounts-receivable journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Help implement the bookings and revenue-recognition platform
- Analyze and present monthly variance analyses
- Build and maintain revenue accounting process documentation
- Support ad hoc revenue accounting questions and strategic initiatives
- Drive special projects and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA required
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting
- Deep ASC 606 experience and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience managing team members, including offshore resources
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management knowledge
- Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx or Snowflake
