We enable opportunities through aviation, making connections, opening doors and enabling choices in people's lives.The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) was established in 1958 as the training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). It implements training programmes for local and international aviation professionals. The Academy strives to stay at the forefront of developments by forging alliances with reputable aviation organisations and institutions worldwide. There are 4 schools in SAA, namely, the School of Aviation Management, School of Aviation Safety & Security, School of Air Traffic Services, and School of Airport Emergency Services. SAA is undergoing a transformation of andragogy and learning spaces, and is looking for passionate individuals to join us in raising the quality and delivery of aviation training.
[What you will be working on]
This role will be responsible for driving courseware development, digital learning initiatives and training quality to enhance the learning experience and effectiveness of aviation training. It requires expertise in instructional design and educational technology, with a proven track record of collaborating with multiple stakeholders to conceptualise and implement technology-enabled learning solutions.
As part of the Training Excellence (TE) Section at SAA, you will:
Conduct courseware development projects through the entire lifecycle: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
Partner with subject matter experts and instructors to provide learning design guidance and develop online courseware, videos, and digital content
Conduct research and benchmarking exercise on latest trends in digital learning and education technology, providing evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders
Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers and instructors to implement and optimise learning technologies, including the Learning Management System
Provide training and support to internal stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption and implementation of learning technologies
Design and facilitate Train-the-Trainer programmes to build instructional capability and uphold delivery standards
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programmes and learning technologies, and identify best practices to maintain training standards and programme quality.
Conduct internal audits to ensure training programmes meet established quality standards.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements
Qualifications or experience in adult learning, curriculum development, instructional design, educational technology, or related fields
Proven track record in implementing and managing digital learning technologies
Proficiency in content authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, iSpring) and Learning Management Systems
Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, resourceful, a good team player and able to multi-task
Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may subsequently be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or a contract renewal.
