Market Analyst (Commodity/MNC/CBD/up to $6k)
Our client is one of the leading commodity trading conglomerates established in South East Asia.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role of the Market Analyst will be based out of its Singapore HQ in the CBD area.
Responsibilities:
- Gather market information by liaising with deal desks and traders
- Provide advice on market updates as and when requested by deal desk and traders
- Liaise with Risk team to find current issues in market
- Provide insights on freight market as and when required by operation team
- Work with operation team to prepare correct entries with accurate financial information
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in related discipline (i.e. Business, Economics, Logistics, e.t.c.)
- Advantageous to have general knowledge in financial markets positioning, Forward Curve and Options
- General understanding of logistics jargons such as Incoterms and UCP600.
- Well exposed to economics affairs around the world
- Must have the ability to provide market insights arising from latest developments around the world
