MAS Compliance Officer (Singapore AMLO)
Serve as the designated Compliance Officer for Coins' Singapore entity, acting as the primary contact for local regulatory matters while supporting global compliance operations. Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and MAS requirements, maintain policies and controls, support licensing, regulatory submissions, audits and examinations, and help operationalize group-wide AML/CFT and sanctions programs. Conduct risk assessments, review high-risk cases, support investigations, deliver training, and prepare reporting for management and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Compliance Officer and primary point of contact for Singapore regulatory compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, including MAS requirements for payment services, AML/CFT, technology risk, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support licensing obligations, regulatory submissions, audits, inspections, and examinations.
- Monitor Singapore regulatory developments and assess business impact.
- Coordinate with external counsel, auditors, and regulators.
- Support group-wide AML/CFT and sanctions compliance programs across jurisdictions.
- Enhance CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting frameworks.
- Conduct AML risk assessments and advise on high-risk customers and escalations.
- Partner with Operations and Product teams on scalable compliance controls.
- Assist with global AML investigations and reporting obligations.
- Develop and deliver compliance training.
- Prepare reports for senior management, boards, and regulators.
- Support audits and maintain governance records, metrics, and documentation.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of compliance, AML, or financial crime experience in fintech, payments, banking, or cryptocurrency industries.
- Strong understanding of Singapore AML/CFT regulations and MAS expectations.
- Experience with payment institutions, digital asset businesses, or cross-border financial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with FATF, sanctions regimes, the Travel Rule, and global AML standards.
- Experience managing compliance operations across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
- CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving regulatory environment.
- Experience with MPI or crypto-related licensing frameworks, MAS or regulator interactions, blockchain analytics, crypto transaction monitoring, and high-growth compliance processes preferred.
