Material Manager
Purpose
Responsible for repair and maintenance of robotic weld cell equipment to provide efficient and quality welding applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot automated weld cells and equipment. Set-up of robotic and resistance weld operations and Poke-yoke apparatus. Fixture modification and adjustment. Operate and program robotic weld cells. Assist in the training of operators on all weld cell operations. Read electrical schematics and other documents to assist in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment. Responsible for verifying and documenting changes to process parameters. Assist Weld Engineers as needed Works to eliminate downtime. Identifies and eliminates sources of downtime and extraneous variation through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures with the Engineering Teams. Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus formal training leading to Journeyman status in Machine Repair and/or equivalent on the job experience. 5 plus years of related work experience.
Competencies
Robotic troubleshooting and programming. Welding proficiency Must have knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic systems sufficient to diagnose and repair machines. Ability to test sensors, change sensors, set-up failsafe, adjust light curtains and change out feeders, powerpacks and reamers. Knowledge of AITF16949 Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks required.
Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on the plant floor.
