MEDIA SALES MANAGER
Job Description & Requirements
What You’ll Be Owning
This isn’t just “sell ad space.” You’ll be at the intersection of media, data, and shopper behaviour — helping brands win at the moment it matters most: purchase. As a Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, revenue opportunities and the commercial relationships behind them.
· Develop account strategies for key clients and identify opportunities beyond individual campaign briefs
· Build strong relationships across brands, agencies and industry partners to generate repeat and referral business
· Drive revenue by selling retail media solutions across in-store, digital, and omni-channel touchpoints —with clear ownership of agreed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets
· Build and grow a pipeline of brands, agencies, and partners (yes, we expect you to hunt, not just farm),with accountability for pipeline health, forecasting and conversion
· Turn briefs into smart, insight-led proposals, and develop commercially sound recommendations
· Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, ops, content) to bring campaigns to life and take ownership of the client relationship from pitch through execution and post-campaign review
· Pitch with confidence to senior client and agency stakeholders
· Track performance and show clients the real impact (think sales uplift, not just impressions) — using results to drive renewals, upsell and longer-term account growth
· Stay ahead of trends in retail media, shopper marketing, and commerce-driven content and translate them into new products, partnerships and commercial opportunities
What Makes You a Fit
We’re not looking for order-takers. We want someone who leans in. At this level, you should be able to own a number, build senior relationships and make sound commercial calls independently.
· 4–6 years of experience in media, advertising, partnerships or commercial sales; agency or media-owner experience is a strong advantage
· Comfortable managing multiple opportunities, stakeholders and campaigns while maintaining an accurate view of pipeline and forecast
· Strong storytelling and presentation skills — you can sell an idea, not just a slot and confidently lead pitches and senior client conversations
· Commercially sharp — you understand margins, value, and how to close, including pricing, negotiation and deal economics
· Curious about how data +content + media come together to drive sales and able to turn that thinking into client propositions
· High energy, resilient, and not afraid of rejection
What You’ll Love About This Role
· You’re selling one of the fastest-growing media channels globally with an attractive commission structure and meaningful ownership over the revenue you build
· You get to work on ideas that directly influence real purchases, not just awareness
· Exposure to both endemic and non-endemic brands with the opportunity to build longer-term strategic accounts
· A role that blends sales +strategy + creativity + partnerships
