Member of Technical Staff, Custody (Backend Engineer)

As a member of the Custody organization, you will provide secure custodial and technology services for moving, storing, and interacting with digital assets, smart contracts, and traditional banking rails. You will solve complex problems, contribute to medium-to-large projects, foster testing excellence, reduce technical debt, mentor teammates, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of Custody systems.
• Write, review, test, and document code according to engineering standards and practices.
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems with elegant and practical solutions.
• Review other developers' code to ensure consistency, reduce errors, and share context.
• Lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large cross-functional projects end-to-end.
• Break down large projects into smaller tasks and accurately estimate time and scope.
• Analyze trade-offs, justify options, and recommend priorities.
• Foster a deterministic testing culture and minimize technical debt.
• Share knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within and across teams.
• Mentor and guide team members.
• Communicate across team boundaries to solve problems and build positive working relationships.
