You Have
- 3-5 years of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer, primarily testing web applications.
- Mandatory commercial experience in FinTech, trading, betting/gambling, or other products involving real-time transactions.
- Experience with trading, options, derivatives, betting, or similar products is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of trading and transaction flows, including: opening and closing positions; buy/sell operations; long/short positions; order statuses; automatic position closing;
- Ability to understand and test complex business logic and real-time system behaviour.
- Strong understanding of the QA lifecycle: requirements analysis, test planning, test design, execution, defect reporting, regression, and release validation.
- Ability to independently design test scenarios for complex features and end-to-end flows and identify potential risks.
- Good knowledge of key testing types: functional, smoke, regression, integration, exploratory, UAT, and cross-browser testing.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, and integrations.
- Good knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS and REST API principles.
- Hands-on experience with Postman, including working with collections, environments, variables, and response validation.
- Strong knowledge of Browser DevTools.
- Practical experience working with SQL for data validation and investigation.
- Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing tools.
- Basic experience with Git.
- Good understanding of bug reporting standards and ability to clearly describe defects, their impact, and reproduction steps.
- Practical experience working with Scrum and/or Kanban.
- English — Intermediate+, sufficient for technical documentation and daily communication.
Good to Have
- Experience testing options, trading platforms, exchanges, or betting/gambling platforms.
- Experience with trading platforms (MetaTrader 5, cTrader, etc.).
- Experience testing real-time systems and technologies such as WebSockets.
- Experience with crypto/blockchain products.
- Basic experience with test automation using Playwright.
- Practical experience with AI tools, particularly Claude, for analyzing business and technical requirements, identifying risks and edge cases, and creating test scenarios.
- Knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
- Basic experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools.
Team
- You will be part of a QA team of 9 QA Engineers and a QA Team Lead.
- You will be the dedicated QA Engineer for your team, responsible for the quality of your functional area.
- The company has several cross-functional teams, with QA Engineers assigned to individual teams.
- You will work closely with the Project Manager, Developers, Product Manager, and other team members.
- Functionally, you will report to the QA Team Lead, who is responsible for QA processes, standards, and the development of the QA team.
- Within the project, you will work closely with the Project Manager, who is responsible for project delivery and team coordination.
- You will work on a FinTech product involving real-time trading and financial operations, where system reliability, transaction correctness, and business logic stability are critical.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and identify potential risks.
- Design and execute test scenarios for complex features and end-to-end flows.
- Perform manual testing of web applications and related integrations.
- Test trading and financial flows, including transactions, positions, orders, automatic closing, expiration, and settlement.
- Perform API testing using Postman and validate system responses.
- Use SQL for data validation and issue investigation.
- Use DevTools to investigate frontend and network-related issues.
- Perform smoke, regression, integration, exploratory, UAT, and cross-browser testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA.
- Investigate issues across UI, API, backend, and database layers.
- Maintain test cases and documentation in TestRail / Confluence.
- Review existing test coverage and identify missing or unnecessary test scenarios.
- Participate in release testing and provide clear information about testing progress, blockers, and release risks.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other QA Engineers.
- Proactively suggest improvements to the testing and release processes.
