Multi Asset Investment Analyst
Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-asset investment research across equities, fixed income, FX, commodities, funds and ETFs, supported by a strong understanding of macroeconomic and market developments.
- Monitor economic cycles, central bank policies, geopolitical developments and other macro factors relevant to investment decisions.
- Develop cross-asset investment views and generate actionable portfolio recommendations.
- Conduct research on asset classes, countries, sectors, funds and ETFs, and assess their risk/return characteristics and investment opportunities.
- Support asset allocation and portfolio construction, including tactical positioning, portfolio rebalancing and risk analysis.
- Evaluate funds, ETFs and external investment strategies, including external managers and strategic investment partners.
- Prepare investment research, investment memos, market commentaries and presentation materials.
- Monitor portfolio and market developments and assess their implications for investment positioning, risk and portfolio performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in multi-asset investment, asset allocation, investment research, asset management, sell-side research or a related investment role.
- Comfortable working across asset classes and willing to develop as a multi-asset investment generalist.
- Good understanding of macroeconomics, asset allocation, equity and fixed income markets, with exposure to other asset classes preferred.
- Strong investment judgement, with demonstrated ability to translate macro and market views into actionable investment and portfolio recommendations.
- Experience in fund/ETF research, portfolio construction or external manager research preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to turn research into clear investment views.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg or other market research platforms preferred.
- CFA Charterholder or CFA candidate preferred.
- Fluency in English required. Chinese proficiency preferred due to dealing with HQ in China and Hong Kong.
