Shield Recruitment is sourcing cyber security and cloud professionals for Defence and Federal Government projects across Sydney, Ballarat and Canberra. Open roles include DevOps/cloud engineer, SIEM tester, cyber security analyst, and assessment & authorisation specialist, working with Azure, AWS, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel and Elastic Stack.
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year
We’re currently seeking experienced Cyber Security and Cloud professionals to support a range of exciting Defence and Federal Government projects across Sydney, Ballarat and Canberra. These are excellent opportunities to work on high-profile, mission-critical projects, contribute to Australia’s national security and sovereign capability, and work with modern technologies in secure enterprise environments.
Roles Available
🔹 DevOps Engineer – Cloud
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and cloud technologies
Experience with Elastic, Elasticsearch or Elastic Stack highly regarded
Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms highly regarded
🔹 SIEM Tester
Experience testing SIEM platforms and security monitoring capabilities
Knowledge of security detection rules, alerts, dashboards and log ingestion
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or Elastic Security highly regarded
🔹 Cyber Security Analyst
Experience across security monitoring, incident response and threat detection
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and security controls
Experience with SIEM, EDR or other security technologies highly regarded
🔹 Assessment & Authorisation Specialist
Experience in security assessment, authorisation and assurance
Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk, controls and compliance
Experience with security documentation, risk assessments and accreditation processes
