The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Network, Tenant and Security Manager to lead our network and cyber security environments, drive technology and security improvement initiatives, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver secure, reliable services that support exceptional learning and organisational outcomes.

This role provides operational leadership across network and cyber security domains, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with organisational needs, while owning the technical roadmap for these platforms.
It partners with the Chief Technology Officer to translate Technology strategy into a prioritised delivery plan and to advance digital capability and security maturity across the organisation.

The role holds direct accountability for a small, high-performing team, ensuring a consistent, high-quality and secure experience for teaching and learning, staff and students, and driving uplift in service and maturity over time

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership across infrastructure, network, applications.

  • Lead, coach and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement

  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and incident in the domain

  • Contribute to a collaborative and service-oriented team culture

  • Oversee the performance, reliability and security of the network environment, including LAN/WLAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls and VPN.

  • Ensure effective management and governance of the M365 tenant, including identity and access systems, Entra ID, and Conditional Access.

  • Own the organisation's operational cyber security posture, including endpoint protection, threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.

  • Lead capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery approaches to support business continuity

  • Ensure in prem infrastructure servers and systems are maintained, updated and aligned with security and compliance requirements

  • Set Governance and Risk frameworks.

  • Lead Delivery and Roadmap Execution

  • Manage Vendor Partnership Management

  • Contribute to Strategy and Continuous Improvement

About you

You are an experienced ICT professional who is passionate about delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing technology services. You enjoy solving complex network, tenant, and security challenges, continuously improving systems, and supporting others through clear and confident communication. You remain calm under pressure, take a proactive approach to risk management, and are committed to creating a secure and positive technology experience for all users.

You may bring

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in network and cyber security leadership roles

  • Experience leading teams and managing operational technology environments

  • Strong understanding of enterprise networks, identity systems, and security operations

  • M365 tenant deployment, governance, and security management

  • Experience working with and managing vendors and service providers

  • Experience in education or complex multi-site environments

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. SC-300, SC-900, MS-102, CCNA, or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
