Operation Manager - Marine
Job Summary
Lead manufacturing operations, people, resources and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operational teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost targets.
- Plan manpower, resources, budgets and operational priorities to meet business requirements.
- Manage departmental budgets and drive effective cost control.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance reviews and development of team members.
- Identify and resolve operational and technical issues to minimize production disruptions.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management and Standardized Work.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and capacity.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and other departments to achieve operational objectives.
- Utilize ERP/SAP, Excel and reporting tools to monitor operational performance and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or related discipline.
- Experience in valve manufacturing, valve repair or related industrial operations.
- Strong experience in manufacturing or production operations management.
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control and resource planning.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP and MRP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau will be an advantage.
