Operations & Sales Coordinator – Road Trucking & Container Transport

Operations & Sales Coordinator Location: Dubai, UAE Department: Region EMEA – Local Operations Industry: Road Transport | Trucking | Container Logistics | Port Operations About the Role We are looking for an experienced Operations & Sales Coordinator with a strong background in road trucking and container transportation. This role is ideal for candidates who have worked with transport/trucking companies managing heavy truck operations, container movements, port logistics, and domestic road freight, while also supporting sales by maximizing fleet utilization. Please note: This is NOT a general logistics role. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in road trucking operations and container transportation. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate daily road trucking operations and ensure smooth transportation of containers across the UAE. • Plan and optimize truck schedules to maximize fleet utilization. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers, subcontractors, workshops, and port operators. • Monitor container movements between ports, warehouses, and customer locations. • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding transport operations. • Resolve operational issues and ensure agreed KPIs and SLAs are achieved. • Prepare operational and performance reports. • Maintain excellent customer service while ensuring timely deliveries. Sales Responsibilities • Generate business by utilizing available truck capacity for domestic transportation jobs. • Develop relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, import/export companies, and transport customers. • Identify new business opportunities within the UAE road transport market. • Negotiate transport rates and service agreements. • Support revenue growth by maximizing truck utilization and reducing empty return trips.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in a Road Transport/Trucking company (Mandatory). • Hands-on experience managing heavy truck operations and container transportation. • Experience coordinating port operations and container movements. • Proven sales experience in generating domestic trucking business and utilizing excess fleet capacity. • Strong understanding of UAE road transport operations and container logistics. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Experience using transport management systems, GPS tracking, or fleet management software. • UAE Driving License is mandatory. • Fluency in English is required. Hindi and Urdu are highly preferred.
