Operations & Business Development Manager (Sports Retail & Recreation)
Role Overview
We are seeking an unsupervised independent, entrepreneurial Operations & Business Development Manager to run lifestyle retail store and skate park facility concurrently. You will have full autonomy to lead daily retail operations, manage supply chains, expand skate park business, connect with the local skate community, and launch a structured skate academy from scratch. If you are a self-starter who thrives without supervision and loves street culture, this is your breakthrough role.

Work Mode: Fully On-Site
Remunerations: RM 7,500 - RM 9,000
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive business development and marketing initiatives on skate park.
- Actively drive revenue growth for the skate park through corporate partnerships, events, and community activations.
- Build relationships with authorities, schools, sponsors, and the skate community.
- Organize events and community engagement activities.
- Set up and manage a Skate School, including coaching programmes, safety protocols and instructors.
- Oversee daily operations of the retail stores and skate park.
- Manage staff, scheduling, and store performance.
- Prepare sales and inventory reports.
- Handle stock ordering, inventory, and local/international logistics.
- Ensure excellent customer service and smooth operations across both businesses.
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in retail/store business development & operation (fashion, sports, or lifestyle retail).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience in business development and marketing.
- Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with government officials, local communities, and overseas suppliers
- Passion for skateboarding or experience in sports/community programmes is a plus.
- Willing to travel between locations when required.
