Operations Manager (Logistics & Warehouse)

We are representing our client a dynamic investment holding company listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia specializing in aluminium extrusion and fabrication, solar PV system deployment, and building material distribution across Malaysia.

Following a successful IPO, the group is expanding its production capabilities and strengthening its position as a trusted supplier in the local and regional markets.

Work Location: Kepong, KL

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Alternate Sat (8:30am-5:30pm)

Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and manage the full scope of post-sales, warehouse and logistics operations at their aluminium extrusion manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of products and services to customers, while continuously improving operational efficiency through process reengineering, digital transformation, and strong cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all post-sales operations, including:

• Order fulfilment and production coordination
• Logistics, delivery planning, and transport scheduling
• Warehouse operations and inventory control
• After-sales support for product issues and replacements
• Develop and streamline standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each operational function to improve consistency and reduce error rates
• Identify gaps in current processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with lean manufacturing principles
• Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Production, Quality Control, and Admin) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Lead system upgrade or software implementation (e.g. ERP/WMS) to enhance traceability, data accuracy, and decision-making
• Monitor KPIs related to operational performance, cost efficiency, and customer service levels
• Ensure warehouse and logistics activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Train, lead, and develop a team of warehouse, logistics, and customer support personnel

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or any related field
• At least 58 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in aluminium extrusion, metal fabrication, or building materials
• Proven ability to manage warehouse, logistics, and after-sales operations in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in ERP, inventory management systems, or software upgrades is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Strong organizational and analytical mindset to manage multiple workflows and projects concurrently
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
