Operations Manager (PLC, Steel Industry) - Based in Jenjarom
Company Background:
We are representing a leading public-listed manufacturer and supplier of various steel products, looking for an Operations Manager to be based in Jenjarom, Selangor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operations to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with company policies. Create schedules and allocate resources to meet workload demands.
- Coordinate between departments to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the efficiency of warehouse receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Maintain the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and safety.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment while adhering to quality and delivery standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline workflows.
- Identify and mitigate risks in operation and warehouse processes.
- Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvement initiatives in both warehouse and operational workflows.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehouse and develop safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office).
- Certification in production and inventory management is a plus.
- Able to speak and write English and Mandarin (due to business nature).
Working hours : Mon - Fri (8.30am - 6.00pm)
