Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced trading professional to drive sales growth, manage customer relationships, and support regional business development within the oil & gas and petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned sales portfolio and expenses to achieve sales, gross profit, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Implement product line strategies and business plans for domestic customers.
  • Manage customer enquiries, orders, and sales transactions in accordance with established pricing and commercial guidelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely fulfilment of customer requirements.
  • Oversee the shipping and delivery process to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Conduct market research and analysis on domestic and regional market trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives to expand market presence and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Prepare reports on business activities, market developments, achievements, challenges, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support budgeting activities, budget implementation, and business planning to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, logistics teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to support business operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of trading experience in the oil & gas and/or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and selling skills.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin language is an added advantage for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for business development and market expansion activities.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to new business models and market opportunities.
  • Exposure to commodity hedging activities is an added advantage.
