About the Role

  • Implement Innovative Features: Develop features for ESET's global websites, including , ESET CMS, ESET Science Award, and WeLiveSecurity BLOG.

  • Agile Team Collaboration (SCRUM): Actively contribute to daily stand-ups, bi-weekly SCRUM sprint planning, retrospectives, and code reviews, focusing on targeted objectives for efficient development.

  • Continuous Learning: Proactively acquire new skills, writing code that is easily readable, modifiable, and conducive to automated testing for robust solutions.

Essential Requirements

  • At least Bachelor degree in Computer Science

  • English language (B2 minimum)

  • Experience with PHP 8.x, OOP principles, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Laravel/Symfony, MySQL/PostgreSQL,

  • Git, Git Flow

  • Create and maintain REST APIs, work with 3rd party REST APIs

  • PHPUnit, Unit testing, Feature/Integrational testing, write automated tests

  • HTML/CSS/JS knowledge and experience

  • Composer, Docker, Linux

  • IDE proficiency (PHPStorm or VS Code)

  • Experience with Microservices

  • Optimize SQL queries and application performance

  • Use Docker, Git, and CI/CD in daily work

  • Work comfortably with Laravel/Symfony DI containers

  • Develop features independently

  • Debug production issues

  • Participate in architecture discussions and suggest improvements


Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with Builder.io (or other headless CMS)

  • Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools and modern AI-powered engineering workflows

  • Experience with GraphQL, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture, Azure, AWS or GCP, Kubernetes basics, CI/CD pipeline, Redis, OPcache, RabbitMQ, Kafka or other, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry

Basic wage component: 3000 EUR (brutto) monthly

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period (usually 6 months).
