PKI Solutions Designer

A leading Tier 1 financial institution is looking for an experienced PKI Solution Designer for an initial 3 to 4 month contract. This is a consulting and advisory engagement, not a hands-on implementation role. You will work directly with internal business stakeholders to understand their PKI and certificate management challenges, design actionable solutions, and present recommendations to customers and senior leadership. The internal team handles implementation.
What You Will Be Doing

• Engage internal stakeholders to understand PKI and certificate management pain points
• Design pragmatic solutions across Venafi TPP and HashiCorp Vault
• Present recommendations to customers and senior leadership
• Produce design documentation, solution proposals, and architecture artefacts
• Ensure alignment to APRA CPS 234 and internal security governance
• Hand completed designs to the internal engineering team with clear documentation

What You Will Bring

• Proven experience in PKI solution design, architecture, or consulting
• Strong hands-on Venafi TPP knowledge for certificate lifecycle management
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and PKI integrations
• Deep PKI knowledge including CA hierarchy, X.509, CRL, OCSP, HSMs, and TLS
• Confident presenter comfortable with senior leadership and non-technical audiences
• Financial services or APRA regulated environment experience

Highly Regarded

• APRA CPS 234 experience
• Venafi Security Administrator certification
• CISSP or equivalent
• ASD ISM, NIST SP 800-57, or ISO 27001 familiarity in a PKI context
