Plant Manager – Chemical / Manufacturing
Responsible for managing plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and delivery of production targets in a chemical/manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily plant operations to ensure production targets are met
- Set and monitor KPIs aligned to business objectives
- Control plant budget and drive cost optimisation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standards
- Lead and develop plant teams across multiple functions
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Manage CAPEX and improvement projects
- Report on plant performance to senior management
Requirements & Experience
- Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
- 6–10 years experience in manufacturing or chemical plants
- 3–5 years management experience
- Strong knowledge of plant operations and production systems
- Experience managing budgets and cost control
- Knowledge of safety and ISO standards
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies
