Role Summary

We are seeking a Principal Architect to lead the delivery strategy and architecture for our projects within the Information Technology industry. This role will involve converting ambitious goals into structured programs, ensuring that we meet our milestones and achieve measurable results. The Principal Architect will play a pivotal role in standardizing governance, making execution predictable, auditable, and perfectly aligned with the required skill sets and onsite work constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain realistic project plans and estimates, while ensuring milestone integrity and providing transparent status updates to stakeholders.
• Sponsor proofs of concept where necessary and establish clear criteria to green-light decisions that align with project objectives.
• Coordinate responses to incidents and issues, ensuring that post-incident learning is documented and integrated into future planning.
• Uphold change control and documentation standards across all projects at scale, ensuring consistency and clarity.

Governance & Assurance

• Standardize the definition of completion, testing rigor, and review quality across various teams to ensure alignment on deliverables.
• Maintain visibility into budget, effort, and throughput within internal processes, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Align weekly consumption with milestones and deliverables, ensuring project timelines are adhered to.

Leadership & Talent

• Mentor senior staff and leads, setting clear expectations and establishing effective feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Support hiring initiatives tied to necessary skills and qualifications to build a high-performing team.

Health Scorecard

• Monitor on-time delivery across releases, aiming for stable throughput and reduced lead time.
• Strive for a declining trend in critical defects and production incidents through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
