Principal Product Designer
You'll shape what world-class design looks like at Gradial, working closely with the Head of Product, product engineers, FDEs, customer-facing teams, and company leadership to design an AI-native platform for enterprise marketing teams. You'll move between systems and craft every day: understanding complex workflows, mapping user journeys, prototyping new ideas, and polishing the details that make a product feel genuinely thoughtful.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for complex, high-impact product areas from early ambiguity through shipped product.
- Turn enterprise marketing workflows into intuitive, fast, trustworthy experiences.
- Define UX patterns for AI-assisted work, including direction, progress, outcomes, and recovery flows.
- Partner with product, engineering, customer-facing teams, and leadership on journeys, requirements, flows, and metrics.
- Create flows, prototypes, interaction models, and polished UI.
- Raise product quality through UX fundamentals, visual craft, accessibility, consistency, and taste.
- Evolve Gradial's design system, product patterns, and interaction standards.
- Use feedback, data, research, audits, and judgment to guide design decisions.
- Identify UX gaps and turn them into high-leverage improvements.
- Tell compelling product stories that align teams around user problems and design tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience designing complex B2B, SaaS, enterprise, AI, workflow, productivity, or collaboration products.
- Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, systems thinking, interaction design, visual craft, and product impact.
- Ability to make complex workflows simple, clear, and trustworthy.
- Strong UX fundamentals in information architecture, interaction patterns, accessibility, usability, and design systems.
- Excellent visual and interaction design craft with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and turning loose problems into clear experiences.
- Strong product judgment regarding quality, simplification, and shipping.
- Clear communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience partnering with product, engineering, customer-facing teams, and leadership.
- Curiosity about AI-native products.
- Bonus: experience with AI, automation, enterprise workflow, martech, content, collaboration, productivity, design systems, research, analytics, UX audits, or technical teams.
