Overview Of The Role:

The Process & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all contractual obligations and compliance measures are met within the assigned regions. This role involves managing and implementing business ethics policies, reviewing processes from a risk perspective, and leading monitoring activities for loss prevention. The manager will also coordinate audits, support business development projects, and drive expansion efforts by reviewing agreements and potential risks. Success in this position is defined by the ability to safeguard assets, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.


What You Will Do:

Compliance Management

  • Review contractual obligations and ensure compliance with Group Policies across UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Egypt.
  • Assist in formalizing and implementing operational and financial controls to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage business ethics policies, including anti-corruption and anti-money laundering policies.
  • Review new processes and training materials from a risk aversion perspective.
  • Implement and oversee monitoring activities for loss prevention.
  • Draft and review terms and conditions for promotional activities in consultation with Legal Counsel.
  • Assist Head of Finance/GM BD & Finance on additional assignments as required.

Contracts Management

  • Review contracts based on Group Procurement Policy for commerciality and risk in coordination with Group Legal.
  • Ensure that contracts meet franchise requirements and IWAY compliance.
  • Coordinate with Service Office and store teams for Non-Merchandise Procurements.
  • Secure necessary approvals for contracts and policy compliance.
  • Maintain a live directory of all approved company contracts.
  • Coordinate with Group Tax to ensure timely filing of reportable contracts.

Audit & SOP

  • Support internal audits in stores, including entry and exit meetings.
  • Analyze Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and suggest operational guideline changes.
  • Implement improvements in existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure promotional terms and conditions align with SOPs.
  • Identify areas where new SOPs are required and assist in creation.

Business Development & Expansion

  • Coordinate projects and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Review and advise on lease agreements and franchise agreements for new stores.
  • Engage in project testing and walkthroughs to ensure successful implementation.

Loss Prevention

  • Assist with the enhancement of SOPs based on audit findings, internal frauds, or identified gaps.
  • Engage in internal investigations and ensure closure.
  • Monitor and follow up on investigations to prevent loss.


Skills

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risk and compliance measures effectively.
  • Good presentation skills to convey complex compliance and legal concepts succinctly.


What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Post Graduate Bachelor of Laws degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract reviews, process compliance or auditing, preferably within the retail sector.
  • Certification in compliance or a related field is preferred.
  • Legal knowledge, specifically in contractual law, coupled with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
