Procurement Analyst, Indirect Sourcing (contract)
About the Role
Our client is a leading global technology company and they are looking for a Procurement Analyst to develop innovative category and sourcing strategies, manage strategic supplier relationships, and optimize indirect marketing spend through data-driven insights.
The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders and suppliers to identify value opportunities, support sourcing initiatives, improve procurement processes, and drive technology-enabled and AI-driven procurement solutions.
This is a contract role ending on 2 March 2027.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect marketing spend categories, including Media, Creative, Social, Events, and Market Research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality service delivery, commercial value, and alignment with business objectives.
- Support end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and sourcing strategy execution.
- Analyze spend patterns, market trends, supplier performance, and category data to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Analyze procurement data and develop reports, dashboards, and insights to support category strategy, business decisions, and performance management.
- Develop and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate category and supplier performance and track progress against strategic objectives.
- Lead or support strategic procurement projects focused on process improvement, efficiency, innovation, and category management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate procurement processes, reducing manual and transactional activities.
- Leverage AI, predictive analytics, automation, and other digital tools to improve procurement efficiency, forecasting, decision-making, and category performance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or a related function, with experience developing and executing procurement strategies.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, and procurement operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, Procurement, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing indirect spend categories, preferably within a marketing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze procurement data, spend patterns, market trends, and supplier performance.
- Experience developing and tracking KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead strategic procurement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements, efficiency gains, cost-saving opportunities, and innovative procurement solutions.
