Procurement and Logistics Specialist

Procurement

  • Source and procure aluminum profiles, sheets, glass, hardware, accessories, sealants, gaskets, fasteners, and other related materials.
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Request and compare quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, and delivery conditions.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with approved requirements and budgets.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality, pricing, and delivery reliability.
  • Follow up on pending purchase orders and ensure materials arrive according to production schedules.
  • Maintain updated supplier databases, price lists, and procurement records.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, sales, warehouse, and finance departments regarding material requirements.
  • Review technical specifications, quantities, dimensions, finishes, colors, and other material requirements before placing orders.
  • Develop alternative sources for critical materials to minimize supply-chain disruptions.

Logistics & Shipping

  • Coordinate local and international transportation of aluminum, glass, accessories, and other materials.
  • Arrange shipments with freight forwarders, transport companies, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and verify shipping and import/export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and customs-related documents.
  • Track shipments from supplier dispatch through final delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with warehouse and production teams.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenses.
  • Ensure proper handling and transportation requirements for fragile materials, particularly glass.
  • Resolve delivery delays, shortages, damages, and discrepancies with suppliers and logistics providers.


Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement and logistics experience, preferably within aluminum, glass, façade, windows and doors, construction materials, or manufacturing.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and vendor-management skills.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing and inventory procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
  • Good English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple purchase orders and deliveries simultaneously.
