Procurement Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Standardize procurement reports to support data-driven decision making.
- Establish and improve procurement processes and governance.
- Manage and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Drive First Article Inspection (FAI) process standardization across stakeholders.
- Define stakeholder roles, workflows, and approval processes for FAI.
- Streamline procurement processes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
- Enhance supplier quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
- Improve cross-functional collaboration across Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.
- Reduce lead times and procurement-related bottlenecks.
- Balance cost, quality, delivery, and supplier risk in procurement decisions.
Requirements:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in technical Engineering or Supply Chain,
- Have 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the energy sector and reporting roles, in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics roles,
- Have significant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment,
- Experience in Oil & Gas industry preferred,
- Have good problem-solving skills with eye for detail and analytical behavior, ideally knowledge in lean Six Sigma methodology,
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills,
- Ability to work independently (self-sufficient with minimal supervision),
- Demonstrate expertise in managing suppliers of complex, long-lead-time, and high-value products,
- Possess strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship skills,
- Have experience coordinating multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment,
- Have strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar),
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence across functions,
- Be comfortable working independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams,
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and strong commercial acumen.
