Procurement Executive
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to manage the company’s purchasing activities and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, quotation, negotiation, purchase orders, delivery, and invoice coordination.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, lead time, and service.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate competitive pricing and commercial terms.
- Issue and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers when required.
- Follow up on outstanding orders, shipment schedules, backorders, and delivery issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and other internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with relevant teams to avoid overstocking or stock shortages.
- Review purchasing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
- Assist in negotiating supplier contracts, payment terms, and other commercial arrangements.
- Monitor market prices, supplier trends, and product availability.
- Handle supplier disputes, quality issues, shortages, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
- Prepare regular procurement reports, including purchasing spend, supplier performance, cost savings, and outstanding orders.
- Support audits and maintain proper documentation for procurement transactions.
