What you’ll be doing \:
As a Procurement Group Leader, you will lead strategic procurement activities across high value contracts and complex development programmes. Working closely with suppliers, engineering teams and programme management, you will drive effective commercial outcomes, support product strategies and help deliver future mission systems and cockpit design developments through Typhoon Long Term Evolution. You will play a key role in shaping long term value, resilience and performance across the supply chain.
Core duties\:
- Lead, motivate and develop procurement professionals, supporting performance and development
- Drive value-for-money solutions in response to customer and programme requirements
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable collaborative delivery
- Contribute to lifecycle management, obsolescence strategies and future capability development
- Negotiation of pricing and terms and conditions
Essential Skills\:
- Experience of leading and developing people or teams with a collaborative approach with the ability to build trust and deliver through others
- Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders within complex programmes, having excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple levels and functions
- Ability to analyse complex data, manage risks and propose effective solutions with a record of continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management and ERP systems
