Procurement & Supply Executive (Shipping Operations)
About the Role
Support the daily purchasing needs of an assigned group of vessels. You will source marine spares, stores, consumables, lubricants, provisions, and services while helping to ensure orders are delivered on time.
Candidates from shipping, ship management, marine supply, ship chandling, logistics, shipyards, offshore services, vessel operations, or procurement are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
Review vessel requests and confirm the items, quantities, and delivery dates required.
Find suitable suppliers for marine products and services.
Request quotations from local and overseas suppliers.
Compare prices, availability, quality, and delivery times.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery arrangements.
Prepare purchase orders after receiving the required approvals.
Track open orders and follow up on urgent deliveries.
Coordinate with vessels, superintendents, suppliers, logistics partners, and finance teams.
Resolve shortages, delays, quality issues, claims, and invoice differences.
Update procurement records, monitor supplier performance, and support cost-saving efforts.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Around one to two years of experience in shipping, marine operations, procurement, logistics, vessel support, or a related environment.
Some experience with quotations, suppliers, order processing, purchasing, or delivery coordination would be helpful.
Able to manage several tasks, communicate clearly, and respond to urgent vessel requirements.
Knowledge of AMOS, ShipServ, SAP, or another procurement or ERP system is an advantage but not essential.
