Product Design Manager - Dashboard

As a Product Design Manager on the Dashboard team, you will manage a multidisciplinary team of product designers and a researcher, leading design efforts across multiple product areas at Plaid. You will partner closely with product and engineering to shape direction and outcomes, coach individual contributors, drive high-quality design execution, develop product strategy, and advance the long-term vision for Plaid's products. You will focus on shipping experiences and elevating the UX quality of Plaid's Dashboard, including launching with Plaid, integration monitoring, account management, and emerging insights products for payments and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Ship delightful and easy-to-use experiences for customers and partners.
  • Work on complex and ambiguous redesigns, small wins, and internal demos.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams from planning through execution.
  • Produce high-quality work that pushes the experience forward and raises the quality bar.
  • Craft compelling narratives, strategies, and demos with design, product, and engineering leaders.
  • Manage and coach individual-contributor designers at different career stages.
  • Contribute to design culture through collaboration and leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience.
  • 3+ years of product design management experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating outstanding visual design, interaction design, problem-solving, and prototyping skills.
  • Experience leading large-scale redesigns or net-new products and working on ambiguous problems and complex B2B applications.
  • Experience managing a team of product designers to produce great work at scale.
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills.
  • Proactive, organized, curious, pragmatic, and able to prioritize independently.
